Fluid PR was approached by TwoTwo Motorsport sponsor Factory Effex to develop a social media campaign to broaden its reach and Facebook follower base.
In conjunction with Factory Effex, we developed a promotion to allow fans to design a bike for Chad Reed, and an app mechanism to allow fellow fans to vote for their favourites.
Each week a weekly prize winner was drawn, before the 10 shortlisted finalists faced off in the deciding vote. Factory Effex and Chad Reed’s team selected the winner who was rewarded with an incredible prize – a trip top the opening round of the 2013 Monster Energy Supercross Championship in the United States, plus a host of other goodies.
The social nature of the promotion and shareable content allowed Factory Effex to build upon its follower base.
Over 150 individual bike designs were submitted, with tens of thousands of individual votes tallied.
At the conclusion of the competition, Factory Effex had doubled its Facebook fan count and connected with followers across a great number of countries.
